Qualifications: Part-Time instructors are employed on an “as needed basis” to teach credit classes both on and off campus. Preference will be given to those with prior college teaching experience. A criminal background check is required. Salary is $650 per credit hour of instruction. Courses are typically 3 semester credit hours. (Learning Support courses are 4 semester hours). Position may require local travel. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions. Part-time faculty orientation session may be required.
Applicants for part-time teaching positions teaching TRANSFER (TR) classes in either the Division of Arts & Sciences and for the Division of Technical Studies must have at least a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited college.
Applicants for part-time teaching positions teaching LEARNING SUPPORT (LS) classes in the Division of Learning Support must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited college.
Applicants for part-time teaching positions teaching NON-TRANSFER (NT) courses in the Division of Technical Studies must have at least an Associate’s degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited college and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.

Illustrative Examples of Duties and Responsibilities •Maintains filing for Plant Director and Plant Operation departments. •Creates purchase requests through financial software for Plant Operation departments. •Issues and maintains College’s fuel cards. •Greets/screens individuals in person or calling by telephone. •Receives and routes mail; composes routine correspondence.
Desirable Qualifications • Ability to convey information effectively and discreetly. • Ability to work independently on responsible and confidential assignments and secretarial tasks. •Extensive knowledge of business English, grammar, arithmetic and computer software systems.
Desirable Training and Experience • Associate level college degree in a business related field preferred. •1-5 years extensive experience in responsible secretarial and administrative work desired.

Desirable Training and Experience An associate degree in administrative office technology or related field is required. Prefer bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, and/or business related field or equivalent training and work experience. Administrative office experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
